For workers
enwitness is a witness, not a tracker. It proves you did the work - and that protects you first.
Not a tracker.
- No GPS. No location tracking. Nothing recorded outside your shift.
- The app notices when your phone is near a beacon at work, during your shift. That is the whole trick.
- You can see every record about you - the same records your employer sees. No hidden extras.
What’s in it for you.
Proof on your side
When someone says “nobody cleaned level three,” the record answers for you. No more being blamed for jobs you did.
Thanks, on the record
Buildings with occupant reporting let people say thanks as easily as report issues, and it comes through to you.
A polite guest on your phone
Minimal battery, tiny data, nothing to charge or hand back, free to you.
Straight answers.
Is this app tracking me?
No. There is no GPS and no location tracking. The app quietly notices when your phone is near a beacon at work, during your shift, and that is all. Outside your shift it records nothing. Your boss cannot see where you are - only that you were at the checkpoint you were meant to visit, when you visited it.
What can my employer actually see?
That you were present at work checkpoints during your shift. Not where you are after work, not where you live, not what else is on your phone. You can see every record about you in the app - the same records your employer sees, no hidden extras.
Will it flatten my battery or use my data?
No. It listens for Bluetooth beacons, which is one of the lowest-power things a phone does, and it sends only tiny confirmations - less data than opening one webpage. You will not notice it on your battery or your bill.
Do I have to use my own phone?
The app runs on your own phone, and it is designed to be a polite guest: minimal battery, tiny data, records only during shifts, and you can see everything it records. Whether personal phone use is required is between you and your employer.
What if my phone is flat or breaks?
Tell your supervisor, same as a lost key or timesheet. The shift shows as unverified rather than inventing anything, and the app helps you get reconnected. Nothing about a flat phone gets you silently marked absent.
Will it work on my phone?
If your phone is a reasonably recent Android or iPhone, yes. The app is small, free to you, and does not need the latest model - it just needs Bluetooth on during your shift.
What happens to my records if I leave the company?
Your presence records are tied to your work sessions, and there are strict rules about what is kept and for how long. You can ask for a copy of your own records, and when you leave, your identity can be removed from the system under the de-identification process.
Your employer is responsible for telling you before enwitness is used at your workplace, and every rollout includes a plain-language notice explaining exactly what is and is not recorded.
